Nintendo opens a teaser site for one of the year's biggest games...

We were worried. We were worried we'd be waiting right the way through the year before we heard any more of our most anticipated Wii game. Now we can finally start to get excited, as Nintendo officially starts the hype train rolling for Metroid: Other M, as the game's official website opens here.

At the moment, the website is nothing more than a cruel teaser, offering a melancholy shot of a scene saw in the E3 trailer and a beautiful soundtrack. As the website opens, a female voice can be heard to say in Japanese what translates as "A dream. It's as if I was watching a playback of a tragedy that really happened."

In more good news, Nintendo has confirmed in a recent release listing that Metroid: Other M is on track for a release in Summer 2010, with North American and European releases also coming this year.

Metroid: Other M is a the result of a development collaboration between Nintendo and Ninja Gaiden creator Team Ninja. Development is being led by Super Metroid supremo Yoshio Sakamoto, and will be set between the SNES game and Metroid Fusion.
