Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is quickly becoming the most talked about game on GameCube forums. Now we have learnt new information.

Nintendo has released some new Metroid Prime 2: Echoes details for the eagerly anticipating fans.

Samus will land on a mysterious planet to investigate it, but end up in a world split between light and dark. Samus must travel between the light and dark areas of the world. The gameplay will also change between the areas.

During the game Samus will be hunted by an evil enemy, which could possibly be the Samus-like figure seen in one of the initial screenshots.

The multiplayer will allow four players to compete in a death match scenario. The multiplayer will feature weapon upgrades, lock-on mechanics and the Morph Ball. The levels will also be large and feature many shortcuts and intricate details.

More details will be known after E3 in less then two weeks time.
