A Microsoft rep has claimed that he finds Nintendo's WiiWare strategy 'confusing'.

WiiWare has been out for less than a month and has just nine titles to its name in Europe, and it's already drawing criticism from Microsoft. Speaking to SPOnG, here's what Microsoft's Chris Satchell had to say about the new service.

"I've been a little confused by WiiWare... The more I look at it, the more I'm confused, because it sort of doesn't really look like something for independents.

"At best it's what we would call a registered developer programme."

Mr. Satchell went on to give the advantages of Microsoft's XNA development programme (who saw that coming?). With over 100 titles currently in development for WiiWare, however, we don't think Nintendo are too worried about this statement.
