Midway began by dicussing the low sales of Dr. Muto, Defender and Haven and said they will not be making any more games based on these licences Dr Muto and Haven unless they become confident they will sell.
MLB SlugFest 20-04 was announced to be coming to Xbox, Gamecube, PS2 and Gameboy Advance on March 17th, 2003 and Freestyle Metal X will ship for the Xbox and Gamecube in June. Midway announced it has 42 titles in development for this year, 12 for the PS2, 11 for Xbox, 11 for Gamecube and 8 for GBA.
As well as these games Midway announced they were in development for other new games like a new basketball game from the team who did NBA Jam. Also an FPS similar to Metal Gear Solid, a mission based driving game similar to Twisted Metal Black and Grand Theft Auto. They are also at work on a survival horror game and a remake of Narc.
Finishing up they announced a new Mortal Kombat game will ship during 2004 but no platforms have been announced yet.
