The popular arcade series is to be reinvented for a release on Cube next year!

Midway have announced Rampage: Total Destruction, which is set to reinvent the classic arcade series with a wide array of playable monsters. All have the ability to perform unique combo attacks and individual super moves.

Fans of the Rampage series are in for a whole new level of mayhem in Rampage: Total Destruction said Steven Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. While the game retains the core elements that made the Rampage series so popular, new mechanics and play modes have been implemented.

Rampage: Total Destruction will feature "everyone's favorite monsters" George, Lizzie, and Ralph, along with a variety of new monsters to collect and play. Virtually everything in the environment is destructable, and via power-ups your monsters are capable of acquiring a number of upgrades throughout the course of a single campaign.

Players will be able to annihilate cities all over the world in either one or two player mode when the game sees a release early next year. The title is scheduled to launch in the US next Spring for the Cube and PS2 at a suggested retail price of $19.95, which equates to the standard price of a budget release over in Europe.
