In a recent interview held with Famitsu Magazine Sakaguchi has confirmed his studio is working on a Simulation RPG for the Nintendo DS

The RPG simulation will be a "playable experiment" of 4-5 players.

With regards to what artistic direction the new game will take, Hironobu Sakaguchi has called upon the help of Hideo Minaba who also worked on the Final Fantasy series.

Although Sakaguchi will produce the title, the development will be divided between multiple teams of programmers in his studios.
