On September 25th, fans stormed the Nintendo World Store in New York to get a glimpse at the man himself, Shigeru Miyamoto. Apparently, quite a few turned up...

Around two hundred lucky attendees were allowed to personally meet legendary games designer Shigeru Miyamoto, and ten honoured individuals where granted the chance to play Nintendogs with him!

Over 1,500 fans turned up hoping to see Shigsy, with the most hardcore queueing up from 2.30AM Friday morning - more than two days before the scheduled event!

Miyamoto signed everything gamers brought, including old and new games, shirts, and even entire consoles. He also unlocked the secret Jack Russell Terrier dog breed in Nintendogs for some of the fans via the DS' wireless technology.

And for some reason, you could also recieve a Nintendogs video message from Hilary Duff's older sister, Haylie, (as seen in the film Napoleon Dynamite).

Fun for all concerned then, though I believe this news reporter speaks for all of Europe when he says "Shigsy come back to London again soon please!"
