News: Miyamoto Says His 'Best Is Yet To Come'

Nintendo's personal demi-god looks forward to a bright future, as well as muses over the follow-up to Wii...
While Shigeru Miyamoto may not be as directly involved in the development scene as he once was, he still keeps a watchful eye over day-to-day business of EAD; and finds time to work on his own pet projects.
Recent years have seen him develop some left-field concepts for Nintendo systems, including Pikmin, Wii Sports and Wii Fit. Speaking to Games TM, Miyamoto-san expressed his belief that this personal direction can only mean good things for the future.
"In the past five years I've been working on such unusual titles like Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort. Ten years ago I could never have been able to imagine that I would be making games like that. That's why I can say that the best is yet to come to me."
In the same interview, the long-dead-horse-subject of a HD-enabled Wii cropped up. Miyamoto was characteristically cryptic on the topic of Nintendo's next home console.
"Technology is always evolving and Nintendo, just like other companies, is going to integrate those technologies into our new products as they develop. Whether that be a Wii HD, Wii 2 or an entirely new console, I am not in a position to say at the moment. I think that in the next generation of hardware, the challenge is how unique and different a product Nintendo is able to make."
Perhaps the most interesting altercation came when Games TM expressed their desire to see a new Star Fox game on Wii, to which Miyamoto replied "Me too". A small hint of what to expect in future? Or a completely understandable, personal opinion?
If the rumourwaves are to be trusted, Miyamoto-san is currently working on MotionPlus-enabled game. But what would you like to see from him? Let us know below...
