News: Miyamoto talks ED, SFA and Pokemon

Miyamoto made direct comments about his impressions of Eternal Darkness, Star Fox Adventures and some commentary on how the next generation of Pokemon games are progressing on the GBA and GC.

On Star Fox Adventures: "StarFox Adventures is going to be a big game. Depending upon the player, the game could have a playing time which exceeds 100 hours. It's a very beautiful looking game and it makes me proud of the GameCube hardware itself. [smiles..]"

On Eternal Darkness: "The writers behind Eternal Darkness are very skilled. While it was developed separately in Canada, some of our Japanese staff members are helping to finish the game now and making sure it's up to Nintendo's quality standards. It's a horror title with zombies and theatrical style action, so naturally the writer plays a large part in the game's development. The story is particularly interesting, and sends characters back through time."

On Pokemon: "Our plans for the Pokemon GameCube title have changed somewhat. We were approaching development from one angle, but a definitive direction for the project hasn't been decided. Development on the next-generation of Pokemon 'Gold' and 'Silver' is progressing however, and they will be scheduled for release possibly within the year in Japan and America on the GameBoy Advance. We always want our games to be as perfect as possible, so we hope players will have patience in waiting for a final release announcement. Like I said however, development is progressing and I'd expect a formal announcement soon."

Miyamoto has unveiled some interesting information while expressing his personal feelings about these games. With Star Fox having over a 100 hours of playing time and ED having a good team working on it we are sure to have the best gaming period ever! Is it the 3rd of may yet???
