News: Miyamoto Talks Wii Zelda & Pikmin

Yet more tidbits translated from the recent interview - this time concerning the upcoming new Pikmin and Zelda games for Wii...
Both Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime and legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto were recently interviewed by Spanish magazine Club Nintendo, and today yet more of the translation has hit the web.
Firstly, we're just psyched that a new Zelda and Pikmin were both reconfirmed for the Wii, but more exciting is Miyamoto's comments that the Wii-mote will 'work very well' with the game. Will it include MotionPlus controls? Shigsy wasn't telling.
He also confirmed that the new Zelda will be something 'special', since it is being developed from the ground up for the Wii, rather than the GameCube-centric design of the Twilight Princess Wii port.
Finally, Club Nintendo remarked how Wario Land: Shake It! plays just like the past versions of the title (waaay back on the Game Boy). They asked if the next Mario and Metroid titles will follow suit one day, though Miyamoto merely gave the diplomatic reply that he couldn't say anything now and that Nintendo always makes top notch products so we'll have to keep our eyes peeled for future announcements.
Awesome stuff indeed - as always, let us know your thoughts below. We're off to go waggle our Wii-motes at Pikmin 2 and imagine what it'd be like if Olimar responded.
