Shigeru Miyamoto will be making a rare public appearance at Tokyo's Digital Contents Expo later this month...

Nintendo EAD General Manager and all-round demi-god Shigeru Miyamoto isn't necessarily known for appearing in the spotlight outside of E3, but the industry veteran is due to keynote the Digital Contents Expo on October 24th.

The event takes place in Tokyo between October 22nd and the 25th. Miyamoto-san's speech will be held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, where it is expected he will discuss his storied, 30-year career in the games industry. We've no reason to believe Miyamoto will be spilling any beans on Nintendo's upcoming titles, but it will no doubt be of interest to gamers across the world to hear a genuine master talk about his work and inspiration.
