News: Miyamoto To Provide GDC Keynote

Nintendo's visionary icon is set to make an appearance at the 2007 Game Developer's Conference.

Gamesutra reports that Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has been confirmed to deliver the keynote at Game Developers Conference 2007. His speech, titled "A Creative Vision", is scheduled for 1030 PST, March 8th at San Francisco's Moscone Center and will center around "...how a singular creative vision drives his work, not only in terms of his world-renowned software like the Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda series, but also in generating key technologies, including the current global phenomena, Nintendo DS and Wii." Miyamoto's presence this year marks his first GDC keynote since 1999.

He will not be alone however. Other Nintendo luminaries scheduled to make presentations include Zelda director Eiji Aonuma and legendary composer Koji Kondo, the man behind the signature themes present in classics including Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.

Stay tuned for more announcements as GDC 2007 approaches in the coming weeks.
