Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized comes to the Nintendo DS, launching alongside its console and PC counterpart...

Activision today announced that the highly anticipated first-person shooter Modern Warfare 2 is to receive a Nintendo DS spin-off, in the form of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized.

Modern Warfare: Mobilized will have you utilizing some of the most high-tech, up-to-date weaponry and gadgetry to date as you take part in tactical urban combat on foot, on the road in Battle Tanks and in the sky with the powerful AC-130 Gunship and the UAV intelligence drone in a storyline separate to that of Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare: Mobilized will also boast a Survival Mode in which you take on waves of oncoming enemies, Arcade Mode in which you race through levels quickly and efficiently in order to score points (similar to that of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) and even an online multiplayer mode that supports up to six players over Wi-Fi so you can take on your friends wherever you are.

The game is pencilled in for a 10th November 2009 release - the same day the games' bigger brother is released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. A Wii version has not yet been announced despite the previous game in the series, Call of Duty: World at War selling over a million copies on the Wii console alone.
