News: Molyneux Disses Wii

Open-minded developer turned Microsoft fanboy, Peter Molyneux turns his nose up at the Wii and says 'Xbox Live FTW'.
"It's not the hardware of the machine, it's not the speed of the machine, it's the fact that that device will enable games to be made unlike no other have ever been."
That was Peter Molyneux's opinion of the Wii several months ago, and that quote opened up so many gaming possibilities, all of which were snuffed out when Microsoft bought Lionhead Studios. Although it appears that the computing giant bought much more than a development studios: they took away a man's opinions.
Asked about the phenomenon of motion-sensing in games in a recent interview, Molyneux responded with a comment that seemed to be spawned from the very depths of Microsoft's PR chambers themselves. "All I can say is that Microsoft is an incredibly smart company and I never fail to be impressed by just how clever they are. Don't forget this is the company which pioneered Live, which I believe will ultimately be far more impactful on video games in the long term than something like the Wii controller."
O rly?
Well that remains to be seen Mr. Molyneux. Maybe you need to be reminded which console just surpassed the Xbox 360 in terms of sales, has received critical acclaim since launch and which horse you were backing before your paychecks started talking for you.
