New details from the Nintendo media summit has been officially confirmed for the upcoming title Monster Hunter Tri. We now have confirmation that online play will be free for players in America, as well as Wii Speak and text based chat functionalities to communicate with your fellow players. The launch date for the title is scheduled for April 20th.
To help market the title in America, Nintendo has made a partnership with retailer GameStop, allowing them a demonstation pod for players to try out the game from March 8th, which includes two quests for the player to carry out. For our American readers, if you pre-order with GameStop you will also receieve 500 Nintendo points to use on WiiWare or DSiWare. Neat!
With details surrounding the game now unveiled for America, we can hope that details regarding Europe will be released at the Nintendo of Europe media summit tomorrow. We'll be reporting live from it. In the meantime, leave us your thoughts below!
