EGM have found up what the likes of Toshihiro Nagoshi, Yasumi Matsuno and more are up to on the Nintendo DS.

In a recent issue of EGM several game developers have been asked what titles they are working on for the Nintendo DS. It has revealed some interesting new titles, all of which can be found below.

Update: As there has been some confusion, the titles that appear in bold are simply previous work by the mentioned person. These are not the games being worked on for the Nintendo DS

Toshihiro Nagoshi- Super Monkey Ball

Nintendo have requested a Super Monkey Ball title for the Nintendo DS. While nothing is confirmed Toshihiro Nagoshi is very interested in making one.

Shinji Noguchi- Baten Kaitos

Shinji Noguchi stated that if there is enough positive feedback from gamers then a Baten Kaitos title for the Nintendo DS might be made. He stated that the touch screen would be ideal for a card game, similar to Baten Kaitos, Konami have already figured that out and have a Yu-Gi-Oh title in the works.

Koji Igarashi- Castlevania

Koji Igarashi confirmed that a Castlevania game is underway, with similar gameplay to the last GBA Castlevania game, Aria of Sorrow.

Tomonobu Itagaki- Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden's

The Itagaki family seem to be Nintendo fans. Tomonobu Itagaki stated that his daughter likes Nintendo and and himself has stated that the Nintendo DS is better than the PSP. Unsurpsingly, there is a title in development for the DS.

Yuji Naka- Sonic the Hedgehog

A Sonic game was shown at E3 and recently it has been confirmed that a Chu Chu Rocket game will be released. A project with the rather interesting title Project RUB will also be released.

Yasumi Matsuno- Final Fantasy XII

Yasumi Matsuno has promised to make titles for the Nintendo DS once he truely understands how to best utilise the features.

A few other titles were included in the article. Silent Hill will be seeing a release, but the game will be "shooting oriented".

Similar to Yasumi Matsuno the Contradirector has stated he will develop games once he knows the best way to utilise the features of the Nintendo DS.
