November shows healthy figures for the Wii and DS, back on top in Japan and America!
In America, November saw the DS and Wii holding the top spots, with over 1.5m DS Lites sold, almost 1m Wiis. The Xbox 360 was the Wii's closest competitor with just over 750,000 units sold, while the PS3 was left languishing at the bottom of the chart - embarrassingly even beaten by the PS2. Here's the November numbers in full:
- DS - 1.53 million
- Wii - 981,000
- Xbox 360 - 770,000
- PSP - 567,000
- PS2 - 496,000
- PS3 - 466,000
Meanwhile in Japan, the latest weekly figures show Nintendo's two systems back on top after a brief interruption from Sony due to PSP slimming, and then PS3 price cuts. The Wii's sales are likely being helped by Wii Fit, which in its second week sold 150,000 units, meaning it has already sold more 411,000 in just two weeks. The week's hardware figures in full:
- DS - 165,000
- Wii - 110,000
- PSP - 88,000
- PS3 - 38,000
- PS2 - 15,000
- Xbox 360 - 7,800
