News: Murderous Mexican Mayhem

High Voltage Software have confirmed that they will be releasing a second WiiWare title, where you murder zoo animals.

High Voltage Software asserted themselves to worldwide fame among Nintendo fans last week when they announced the graphically astounding The Conduit for the Wii, shortly followed by confirmation and footage of a new WiiWare shooter from them called Gyrostarr. Three is indeed the magic number, as High Voltage have just announced Animales de la Muerte for WiiWare.

The game takes place in a Mexican zoo, where the animals have turned into undead monstrosities and developed a taste for human flesh. The task falls to you, the vigilante butcher, to exterminate the zombie fiends and restore order at the zoo. Think Konami's Critter Round-Up, expect you have to rip out the cute little zebra's intestines through its own nostrils instead of building a fence around it.

The Wii Pointer will be used to aim at the various creatures and blast them to smithereens with weapons such as the chainsaw (sure to bring back terrifying visions of death to those who played Resi 4), the sub-machine gun, rocket launcher and the bullwhip (but only if you toss them the idol).

Whilst a pricepoint has yet to be decided, this fun-looking little shooter is scheduled for a release in September.
