News: Mushroom Men Invade Europe This March

The Mushroom Men are set to march forth into the realm of Europe this March, exclusively for the Wii and DS.
Ever considered the possibility that the mushrooms you've been hacking to pieces to add to your pasta for years may actually have feelings - and a desire to take over the human race? Enter Mushroom Men, an original new platforming series set to hit the Wii and DS this year.
Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars is the Wii version, a fully 3D platformer, whilst the DS' Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi is a side-scrolling action prequel to the series. The games document the fictional aftermath of a meteor which passes over Earth and scatters spores which carry the unique ability to bring fungi to life.
It's similar to 1962 sci-fi flick The Day of the Triffids, minus the world's population being simultaneously blinded and having giant, animalistic plants lumbering around and eating people.
South Peak Games have confirmed to us that both Mushroom Men games will be released in March 2009, a month later than expected. The titles were casualties of the takeover of Gamecock last year, and suffered a delay from their original November release date in Europe, whilst the US saw their release at the start of December.
And with that... there isn't really mush(room) left to say!
