After a turbulent few months, Florida-based studio n-Space seem to be back on track with a number of new games in development...
While they're perhaps best known these days for providing decent ports of Activision's Call of Duty series to DS, n-Space have a place in many a Nintendo fanboy's hearts for the ambitiously unique Gamecube FPS Geist and the tragically cancelled Wii horror project Winter.
The studio has been going through some tough times lately after the economic downturn affected many small developers fighting to get their projects green-lit. At one point last year, the entirety of n-Space's staff was laid off. Thankfully, the fortunes of n-Space seem to be on the up, with several projects on the way.
Dan O'Leary, the studio's co-founder, recently posted a blog update (well worth a read) explaining the company's roller-coaster of an ordeal over the last six months. Many of the studio's pre-layoff staff are back on-board and are hard at work at 3 new titles for 3DS, one for DS and even one for the 360's Kinect device.
Here's to the sustained good fortunes of n-Space, and hopefully a revival of Winter in the near future...
