Kind of like Mario Kart, but with Pac-Man and other Namco characters, this is Pac-Man World Rally!

Namco's latest Pac-Man title is Pac-Man World Rally. Featuring Pac-Man and various characters from the the Pac-Man universe, other faces from Namco's history will also appear, for example Pooka from old school title Dig Dug.

Fifteen race tracks plus six battle levels will be included, through which good old pellets are scattered. Pick up enough and you earn a Power Pellet, turning your opponents into blue ghosts for you to gobble up in your Super Pac-Mobile.

Mario Kart-style weapons include a penguin which freezes the track, making your opponents spin off the course. You'll also be able to obtain classic Pac-Man fruit pickups, doing so unlocks short-cuts for you around the course.

Pac-Man World Rally will be out next Summer for (deep breath) Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, PSP and PC. Strangely there's been no word on a DS release yet, but it could always be announced later.
