Namco Bandai have pledged over two dozen classics towards Wii's Virtual Console Arcade service in Japan.
Announced and launched yesterday, Virtual Console Arcade is set to offer Wii owners even more choice when it comes to playing through forgotten classics of old. Players can download titles that were originally only avaialable in arcades. Japanese publisher Namco Bandai has pledged a generous slew of titles for the service:
- Assault
- Galaga 88
- Cosmo Gang the Puzzle
- Cosmo Gang the Video
- Cyber Sled
- Sky Kid
- Star Blade
- Splatterhouse
- Xevious
- Dragon Spirit
- Dragon Saber
- Dragon Buster
- Tower of Druaga
- Knuckle Heads
- Burning Force
- Pacmania
- Finest Hour
- Numan Athletics
- Pehlios
- Hopping Mappy
- Mabael Land
- Mappy
- Rolling Thunder
- Wonder Momo
- Genpei Toma Den
- Youkai Dochuki (Shadow Land)
So far, this list only applies to Japan, with the publisher promising to release one title a week for the (rather hefty) price of 800 Wii Points. Many of these games will likely make their way over to western Wiis in the coming weeks.
Are there any arcade classics readers would like to see available for download?
