News: Naughty Dog Compares Wii U to PS3

Naughty Dog, the studio behind Uncharted, speaks about the Wii U.

Since the release of Uncharted back in 2007 the franchise has gone from strength to strength. Naughty Dog, the team behind the game and others such as Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxtar, are a second party studio partially owned by Sony so they won't be developing for the Wii U but NowGamer asked them what they think about the console.

Justin Richmond, the director of Uncharted 3, said that the idea of the Wii U is cool but believes it doesn't do anything the PS3 and Vita combined do. Although he does admit he was sceptical of the Wii and that still sold well.

"To be honest with you, the idea of it is very, very cool. But there's nothing that the Wii U has that the Vita and PS3 doesn't. You know, it's an interesting piece of technology, and I'm interested to see how people use it.

I'm not completely sold yet. That the screen isn't multi-touch, that's a little weird. It seems there are some very strange holes in it, but to be fair, last time I was sceptical of the original Wii, and look at how that did. I'm sure that he games they make for Wii U will be amazing."
