Amazon of Japan have published pre-order statistics for the NDS, PSP and PlayStation 3 -- and it seems over 10,000 Japanese gamers want to get some next-generation goodness.

Over 5,000 Japanese gamers have registered to be alerted when pre-orders begin for the Nintendo DS on the Amazon website. Today, the online web-shop published statistics concerned with how many gamers had utilised the pre-order notification registration system on the Amazon website -- for the PSP, NDS and PlayStation 3. While the PSP and NDS have over 5,000 registrations each -- interest in the PS3 is building by the day. The system takes down the user's email address so they can be alerted when pre-ordering opens to the general public. The pre-order notification system is only used for big arrivals, and judging by the statistics, the NDS fits the bill perfectly.
