Netflix is now available for download on 3DS via the North American eShop.

Netflix is now available via the North American eShop and can be downloaded for free. The application has been long awaited and allows those with an unlimited streaming plan to watch TV shows and movies directly on their 3DS systems.

For those of you that don't know, Netflix is an america provider of on-demand internet streaming video and is widely available in the United States and Canada. Reggie promised that this service would become available for the 3DS some time ago and gamers have been eagerly awaiting its arrival ever since.

You will need a Netflix account for this to work on your 3DS, it has also not been revealed whether 3D content will be made available at this point.
