The creators of the Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean franchises are working on a new RPG for 3DS...

The first details of a new RPG for 3DS have surfaced in the latest Famitsu (via Andriasang). Beyond the Labyrinth is a 3D dungeon RPG developed by tri-Ace, a heavy-hitting RPG studio responsible for the Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean series.

Not a lot is known about the actual game, aside from the fact that the dialogue-heavy story will focus around a young girl. Beyond the Labyrinth is being directed by Takayuki Suguro, who helmed the HD RPG Resonance of Fate, with Konami publishing.

No release date hints yet, but the game is said to be around 60% complete.
