Itching for some more Dragon Quest X Online information? Head inside for news on the title's races and worlds.

Following last week's surprise announcement that Dragon Quest X Online would be heading to the Wii and Wii U Japanese publication Shounen Jump has some new information, available courtesy of Andriasang.

Shounen Jump provides information about the races that will populate Dragon Quest X Online as well as the worlds you will be able to explore. Five different races will feature in the game and these are as follows: Ogre, Elf, Dwarf, Pukuripo, and Wedi. A sixth race, Humans, will also exist and was shown during the unveiling, but Shounen Jump says you can chose from only five races. The humans will play a large role in the story however as something appears to have happened in the human world.

Dragon Quest X takes place in Astoldia, a world divided into four continents known as Ogleed, Eltona, Dwachakka, Pukuland and the island chain Wena Islands. Each of these locations correspond to one of the five aforementioned races. These five areas also surround a central area, which appears to be somewhat mysterious but presumably is the human world.

Don't forget that the game is due to be shown at this week's Tokyo Games Show so expect more information and media later in the week.
