The DS sequel to the DS' most artistic platformer is going to be set in the SpongeBob universe!
SpongeBob SquarePants is a Nickelodeon cartoon about a little yellow kitchen sponge who lives in a pineapple in an undersea world called Bikini Bottom, who regularly gets himself and his friends (including the chubby Patrick and Sandy, the squirrel who wears a spacesuit) into comically hilarious predicaments. Yes, I am a SpongeBob fan. Which is why I am thrilled to hear that a Drawn to Life sequel is coming to the DS, and it's going to be set in the SpongeBob universe.
The new installment in the Drawn to Life series appears to be a game-length recreation of the fantastic SpongeBob episode Frankendoodle. In the game, SpongeBob and Patrick discover a magic pencil which allows anything they draw to come to life. DoodleBob, one of their creations (a mockery of SpongeBob in the form of a drawing) becomes mindlessly evil, gains a magic pencil of his own and begins to wreak chaos in Bikini Bottom.
Keeping to the style of the original game, you will be able to fashion your own character with the stylus as well as create your Bikini Bottom residence. Enemies can be jumped on or attacked with the eraser, and they can even be redrawn. The game will also feature over 20 levels with special objectives, including a two-player versus mode.
Yes, all of that is true. Even the part about the lima beans and the car chase.
Stay tuned to N-Europe for the latest on this SpongeBob-theme Drawn to Life sequel.
