Shigeru Miyamoto confirms a follow-up to the superb creative app Flipnote Studio for 3DS...

During a trip to France, where he also made some much reported comments, Shigeru Miyamoto has quietly announced a sequel to the free DSiWare application Flipnote Studio.

Flipnote Memo will also be free, but this time will be available on 3DS. While not much other information was divulged, Miyamoto did state that content would be easier to share online this time around.

No word on a release date yet, but Flipnote Memo would make perfect fodder for the eShop launch in late May.
