A lot of us were expecting a new announcement from Nintendo at this year's CES, but none of us were expecting this...
A half a day before the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has even started, news has broken out revealing a new form of GBA originally set to be revealed by Nintendo! Nintendo Insider claims that this new GBA is, "...Nintendo's newest gadget to the world -- an in-car Game Boy Advance system! " Weren't expecting it? Don't worry, I don't think a lot of us were.
According to our source, the Nintendo in-car GBA will have the ability to play CDs, DVDs, and GBA formatted game carts. The "console" will use infrared headphones to offer wireless convenience for passengers and will have the ability to be taken out of the car to be played seperately. Not much information has been officially been revealed to us by Nintendo yet, but we can expect to hear more about this in the next few days.
Update: It appears that Visteon, the company responsible for the GBA's latest iteration, has updated their website with an official product page. You can check it out by clicking this link. If you're interested, a full list of technical specifications is available in .pdf format.
