According to several sources a new Nintendo peripheral will be displayed at E3 in May.

Nintendo have confirmed beliefs that they will showcase a new peripheral next month at E3 in Los Angeles. The peripheral will apparently add to the GameCube's life, much like the expansion pack on the N64.

The new peripheral is said to not improve existing GameCube functions but rather add whole new ones. Nintendo said it would be like what the Eye Toy has done for the PlayStation 2 and spoke about the Eye Toy, stating "another company following in our footsteps at last."
