Ubisoft announces the action-packed Ghost Recon franchise will be returning to a Nintendo console this year...

Wii owners who felt a little sidelined when Ubisoft's critically-acclaimed Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter skipped over Nintendo's little white box may have some consolation due.

In a recent investor address, the company confirmed that the next instalment in the series - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier - would be hitting Wii this year. Little is known about the game at this stage, but Ubisoft did confirm that the Wii version would have development handled by a separate team in order to deliver "a different approach... created for the Wii population."

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is scheduled for release on Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC at the end of 2010.
