Ubisoft announces Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for unspecified consoles and handhelds...

Following on from last year's successful series reboot on HD consoles, Ubisoft has announced a new entry in the Prince of Persia franchise.

The new game will be subtitled The Forgotten Sands, and while virtually no other information is known at this time, it is due for release in May next year on unspecified "consoles and handhelds".

The last Prince of Persia title on a Nintendo home console was Rival Swords, which was a port of the final game of last generation's trilogy. There have also been two spin-off titles on Nintendo DS.
