Ubisoft have announced they are developing another Rayman title, with the project headed up by creator Michel Ancel.
Over ten years old and with more than sixteen million units sold to date, Rayman is a major franchise in the world of gaming, and Ubisoft have just announced it is to develop a fourth instalment of series. The developer's iconic brand will be developed by the Ubisoft's Montpellier studio, lead by Michel Ancel, creator of the original Rayman game, the critically-acclaimed Beyond Good & Evil and Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.
"Rayman is one of the brands that encapsulate Ubisoft's ability to create characters and universes that appeal to all kinds of players," said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft. "We are expecting this new Rayman video game to sweep players off their feet."
The title will launch during the Holiday season this year on unconfirmed current and next-generation consoles. Could we see Rayman as a launch title for Revolution? We'll keep you posted.
