Nintendo have announced that their former Director of Business Development at NOA has become Retro Studio's President.
REDMOND, Wash., April 11, 2003 - Nintendo today announces it has named Michael Kelbaugh as the new president of Retro Studios, Inc. Based in Austin, Texas and owned by Nintendo Co., Ltd., Retro Studios is best known for its award-winning title Metroid(R) Prime released for the Nintendo GameCube(TM) in November 2002. Retro is currently at work on the highly anticipated sequel to Metroid Prime.
Prior to joining Retro Studios, Kelbaugh spent 15 years at Nintendo of America's corporate offices in Redmond, Washington. He most recently held the position of director in Nintendo's business development group. Kelbaugh replaces Steve Barcia, Retro's former president.
As the worldwide leader and innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co. Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and software for its popular home video game systems.
