News: New Ubisoft Titles Announced

Ubisoft announce three new titles for the Wii. Ch-ch-check it out...

Ubisoft really have come up trumps in their support for the Wii with the highly-rated Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids being two of the strongest launch titles available for the debutante console. Now it seems that a new Brothers in Arms, the World War II FPS, will also be making its way to the machine.

Along with the violence and guns, two new titles will be debuting: one is Spelling Spree which is apparently geared towards grammar and spelling themed-games. The other is Cosmic Family. Very little is known about this game, but it is likely to be aimed at the younger generation of Wii gamers.

We have seen the Wii as a lifestyle accessory, a means of getting fit and a new way to bring gaming to the masses... but as an educational tool? A few years ago many would have scoffed, but with the surprising success of such titles as Brain Training and Cooking Mama on the DS, the field is wide open and only time will tell if this can be another string to the bow of everyones favourite plastic box.
