News: New Zelda To Use Twilight As Starting Point

That's Twilight Princess, folks, not the teenage vampire novel...
Despite huge mystery still surrounding the title, Nintendo have been oddly open to discussing the next major Legend of Zelda game on Wii.
Speaking to IGN, series director Eiji Aonuma alluded to Nintendo's approach when developing the game, admitting that he would like to build upon some of the elements attempted in 2006's Twilight Princess.
"With Twilight Princess, we challenged ourself to create the most vast and realistic world the series had ever seen, but we don't feel that we were able to fully complete this objective. With that as a starting point for our improvements to the series in the future, we are of course working on a new game for Wii.
"For any game to be remembered for a long time, just like Ocarina of Time was, the game must give the strong impression that it has set a new starting point for future sequels to build upon. We are working to further improve upon the experiences found in Twilight Princess so that our future games can realize these innovations."
With so much speculation stemming from every drop Nintendo teases us, it's looking unlikely we'll grasp just how this game will turn out before an official unveiling.
Expect solid details to flow in (at the latest) at E3 next year...
