The Financial Times have published an interesting article on the next generation console war which is worth a read.

In the red corner, the article writes, is Sony's Playstation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360, who will show off the brute force of powerful processors for graphics and physics next generation. Reality and simulation are at the top of their list. Games, for them, should look like real life.

In the blue corner, however, the article places Nintendo and its Revolution, whose "philosophy is clear: interactivity is what matters, and gaming needs to offer a deeper experience through a flexible controller that allows users to play in diverse ways."
