EA have announced Need for Speed ProStreet as coming to Wii, DS and a multitude of other platforms. Details inside...
Third-party behemoth Electronic Arts has revealed the title for the next game in its flagship Need for Speed franchise. Developed as usual by EA Black Box in Vancouver, ProStreet will continue the series' unhealthy obsession with street racing and likely hit shop shelves this Autumn.
Executive producer, Larry LaPierre gushed: "Need for Speed ProStreet accelerates street racing culture by providing the ultimate stage for the pursuit of street racing supremacy. This is a game about building the ultimate performance-tuned battle machine, taking it to multi-disciplinary showdowns all over the world and pitting your skills and reputation against the very best street racers."
With some nifty looking graphics (for Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, anyway), the patented "Autosculpt" technology has been improved to allowing gamers to directly impact their car's performance for the first time as well as personalise its appearance.
The games' features are rounded off by "aggressive and skilled AI" and "a revolutionary online mode that will redefine the meaning of competitive social play", apparently. Available for Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, PC and mobile phones, we'll no doubt bring you more before its scheduled release this Autumn.
