Future Publishing’s Nintendo title NGC is being treated to a re-design, including a 32-page increase in pagination, a free DVD and a wider 270mm format, making it literally the biggest games magazine on the market.
The re-launch will be supported by a 250,000 promotional spend, which will cover retail promotions along with covermounts such as DVDs and super-sized tips books and packaging.
The magazine also offers more detailed previews and reviews, along with more features on all things Nintendo and larger sections dedicated to interaction with readers.
The first re-designed issue will be on sale from May 14, with a print run of 110,000 and price tag of 3.50. It will feature a covermounted special games DVD, including footage from all GameCube launch games, plus forthcoming titles.
Nick Stevens, publisher of NGC commented: “NGC is now in a strong position to take on all-comers in this hugely competitive market.
“As the next generation of Nintendo gaming approaches, with the upcoming launch of GameCube, Nintendo addicts can prepare themselves with this truly next generation videogames magazine complete with exclusive DVD,” he continued. “Aside from the sheer size of this title, every element of the new NGC has been painstakingly redesigned and enhanced in readiness for this new era in Nintendo gaming.”
Thanks to Indie Magazine for the heads up.
