Sadness

News: Nibris Bites The Bullet Bill

Sadness descends upon the gaming community as beloved developer Nibris closes its doors for good.

It looks like the harsh economic climate in the games industry has claimed yet another casualty in the form of Polish Wii/DS developer Nibris.

Nibris rose to notoriety in 2006 for releasing some beautiful pieces of concept art for Sadness, a survival horror Wii game with roots in Slavic mythology... and not much else. Sadness was hindered by severe production problems since its inception (including Minecart-gate) and the project was eventually cancelled in April, essentially proving years of speculation that the title was merely vapourware to be true.

Several members of the development team have been incorporated into the Bloober Team, a splinter development team closely linked with Nibris who are currently developing the infinitely more promising, near-complete Last Flight for WiiWare.
