News: NIBRIS Clarifies Sadness & RotR Details

Polish developers NIBRIS have clarified some points about the upcoming Wii-exclusive Sadness and Raid over the River...

NIBRIS have issued a press release containing various facts about Sadness, the first of two titles for the Nintendo Wii that are in the works. The game's story will take place before World War I in one of the Slavic countries. Debunking recent rumours, the title will not be in the style of Sin City, or a comic. Instead, it will be more like cinema at the time - black and white, and with a slightly gothic atmosphere.

The choice of a grey colour scheme for the game is definate - you won't be able to choose other colours. The colour was chosen for the atmosphere of the game, not just for marketing reasons.

The developers also confirm they were approached for the Hollywood rights to the game, though no agreements have yet been made. Apparently no movie version will be made within two years of the game's release anyway.

The company have commented that Raid over the River is not being developed right now, and that their priority is Sadness. RotR will be developed afterwards, though the DS version of the game is still in progress by a different team within the company.

More on these titles soon.
