Indie developers Nibris release a statement in Polish on the recent Sadness news - and we've got the translation inside...
Readers may remember that four days ago, we reported on a rumour that developers Frontline Studios were "no longer interested in developing [the] game based on Nibris' concept", and had ceased support for Nibris' much-hyped title.
Polish developers Nibris have issued a response with to these rumours, which has been translated for N-Europe by Lindberg over at Polish gaming blog Polygamia.pl. The statement confirms that Sadness is still under development, and contrary to previous rumours, Nibris has always been the game's sole developer. Apparently, Frontline's role on the title was to be a co-developer, though this fell through due to "artistic differences". Frontline was never approached as a publisher for the title.
Nibris goes on to state that they have invited other companies to cooperate on the development of the game, something they explain as normal practice in large scale projects, and cites that they are already co-operating with "Digital Amigos, FCS, Erdin and Piotr Rubik".
Look out for the latest if and when we hear more.
