THQ have announced their Nickelodeon franchise games for 2005. If you're over eight you probably shouldn't care.

The year will see more games based on the kids' group's TV shows, including a mini-game based Spongebob Squarepants title, the third edition of the Tak platform series, a puzzle-based amalgam of different Nick heroes and villians (called Nicktoons for the moment) and games based on Danny Phantom and the sublime Fairly Odd Parents.

TV shows aside there'll also be titles based on Barnyard, an upcoming movie from Nick and Paramount, and the 'tween' "lifestyle brand" 'EverGirl'.

"We look forward to building on our longstanding, successful alliance with THQ in 2005," said Stephen Youngwood, senior vice president, Nickelodeon Media Products Group. "This year's lineup is stronger than ever, with sequels to several properties already established in the game space, as well as the introduction of new Nickelodeon TV, theatrical and lifestyle brands to our growing base of interactive fans."
