News: Nikkei Claim Nintendo Could Post 100B Loss

Japanese newspaper Nikkei claim Nintendo could post a 100 Billion Yen loss due to foreign currency exchange loss.

Nintendo announced that they were cutting profits forecasts some time ago due to a number of factors but now Japanese newspaper Nikkei is claiming that the loss could be even greater than first anticipated.

In a report translated by Andriasang, Nikkei claims that due to the rising value of the Yen versus the Euro Nintendo could see an additional 40 billion Yen lost due to foreign currency exchange loss, meaning Nintendo would post a 100 billion Yen pretax loss for the April-September period.

It is unknown if Nikkei has received this information first hand or are simply calculating the figure based on a number of factors but Nintendo is expected to give their midterm earnings announcement tomorrow so be sure to check N-Europe for all developments.
