News: Nintendo Advertising In Australia

Nintendo is to throw 10 million Australian dollars at Leo Burnett Melbourne to help with advertising.

Nintendo of Australia has teamed up with the advertising agency Leo Burnett Melbourne. George Patterson Bates Melbourne, Nintendo of Australia's old advertising agency, has been dropped in favour of the new one. Nintendo have decided to increase their advertising in preparation for the holiday season.

Nintendo is to spend ten million dollars on advertising, 65% of that will be on television ads, while the other 35% will be spent on magazine ads, movie trailers, and retail displays.

The new advertising campaign will begin in September and focus on six GameCube games. While the games are not known they probably include F-Zero GX, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Star Wars III: Rebel Strike.
