Nintendo have announced the next game in the Excite series, the rather exciting-sounding Excitebots: Trick Racing.

Nintendo have released a monumental list of release dates for all their upcoming games for both Wii, WiiWare and DS in North America with a couple of surprises chucked into the mix, including Excitebots: Trick Racing.

"Excitebots�: Trick Racing has elements that make it one of the more unique racing games on the market. It launches April 20 and lets everyone in the family use the Wii Wheel� accessory in unique and changing environments, play fun minigames and perform crazy tricks in a game that builds on the Excitebike� and Excite Truck� franchises".

No further details were released, but considering the reference to Excite Truck, it's probable that the game is developed by Monster Games, who confirmed that they were working on a Wii game for Nintendo last year. The rather odd name, and the inclusion of minigames seem to indicate that we'll be in for an even bigger franchise change than the enjoyable Excite Truck.

The game will launch in North America on the 20th of April, whilst more details will probably emerge over the coming weeks. Stay sharp for an European announcement, and in the meantime you can check out the full release list here.
