Fancy yourself as a bit of a Flipnote master? Pit your skills against the best in Nintendo's latest contest...

Nintendo of Europe has announced a pretty unique contest for users of the DSi's Flipnote Studio application. Renowned animator Andrew Rae has teamed up with the company to challenge players to create their own 'Flipnote Monster' to take on Rae's Bad Egg.

Users have until November 21st to create an animation of their own monster, including information on its strengths and weaknesses, and post it to the 'Flipnote Monsters' section on the Flipnote Hatena service. The four best entries will go through to a knock-out stage, where Nintendo themselves will animate stand-offs between the finalists. The last remaining entry will then take on the mighty Bad Egg in an extra-special animation to be broadcast in time for Christmas.
