As winter draws closer Nintendo has announced a new Ice White colour variation for the Nintendo 3DS.

With little fanfare or spectacle Nintendo has announced that a brand new Nintendo 3DS colour variation will hit Japanese shelves on November 3rd. The Ice White colour will mean that Japanese gamers will have five different colours to chose from.

While Nintendo has commonly released white versions of their handhelds at launch since the DS Lite the Nintendo 3DS only launched with black or blue colours. Since then they have added a red variant, which was released last week in Europe, and a forthcoming pink variant.

The handheld will be sold for �15,000 when it goes on sale next month in Japan. There is no word yet about a European release but the colour variations tend to eventually make their way over here.
