News: Nintendo 'Can Win Over Halo Audience'

NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime has some bold words for the Wii 'hardcore' skeptics...

Coming off the back of a solid E3 performance, Nintendo is still locked in an attempt to prove to the 'core' gamer than they have not been forgotten about.

Speaking to CNET, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime asserted the company's position on appealing to the core audience and divulges his hopes for the what the future of Wii holds on that front:

"We think we [can] win over the Halo audience with something like The Conduit, a multi-player, online, shooting experience, or Dead Space Extraction. And you know what? Once those people buy into Wii, they'll go buy Mario Kart or Wii Fit Plus."

As well as the strong wave of third party titles Reggie alluded to, 2010 also promises a stellar year from Nintendo themselves - with big hitters ranging from Sin & Punishment 2 to Metroid: Other M (and who knows? Maybe if we're good, we'll get at least a taste of Zelda).

But what are your thoughts on the horizon of Wii software? Leave your comments, as always, below.
